FINAL TWO BROWARD COUNTY MILLIONAIRES CLAIM POWERBALL PRIZES
June 18, 2012
The Florida Lottery announces that Dale Colburn, 43, of Plantation, claimed a $1 million POWERBALL prize, and Paul Brangan, 49, of Coral Springs, claimed a $2 million POWERBALL with Power Play prize from the Wednesday, June 13 drawing. Colburn and Brangan are two of four new POWERBALL millionaires from Broward County. The other two $1 million winners claimed their prizes last week.
Colburn's winning ticket was sold at Publix, located at 225 S. Flamingo Road in Plantation. The retailer received a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the POWERBALL ticket. Colburn says it's still sinking in that he actually won $1 million, but he's very happy. "This money comes at a great time because we have two children who will be entering college soon," he added.
Brangan's winning ticket was sold at Publix, located at 8160 Wiles Road in Coral Springs. The retailer received a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the POWERBALL with Power Play ticket.
