DRAKES BRANCH MAN WINS $52,000 IN WIN FOR LIFE

When Charles Mosley of Drakes Branch bought a ticket for the June 6 Win for Life drawing, he selected numbers that correspond to his birthday. When he looked at the winning numbers the next day, there was no doubt.
“I knew I’d won because I know those numbers by heart,” he told Virginia Lottery officials as he claimed his prize.
He matched five numbers plus the Free Ball to win the game’s second prize of $52,000. He bought the winning ticket at Food Lion, 1592 South Main Street in Farmville.
“It’s a nice Father’s Day gift,” he said.
The winning numbers for that drawing were 1-4-9-17-26-36 and the Free Ball was 27.
