DES MOINES WOMAN WINS $40,000 LOTTERY PRIZE

A Des Moines woman won a $40,000 prize in Saturday's Powerball drawing.
Michelle Peterson claimed her prize Monday at the Iowa Lottery's headquarters in Des Moines. She purchased her winning ticket at Dahl's, 5440 86th St. N.W. in Johnston.
The winning numbers in the $110 million Powerball jackpot drawing on Saturday were 9-31-38-54-56 and Powerball 20. Peterson won a $10,000 prize by matching four of the first five numbers and the Powerball. Because she added the Power Play to her ticket, Peterson multiplied her win to $40,000.
