CLAIMING HOOSIER LOTTERY PRIZE WORTH THE WAIT FOR WHITELAND MAN
June 13, 2012
There are winners who drive straight to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters within moments of winning a big prize, fueled by the excitement and unable to focus on anything else. Then, there’s Tim Hill from Whiteland.
Hill, who purchased, scratched and won $125,000 on a Fat Wallet Hoosier Lottery ticket May 11, came in to claim his prize Monday – one month later.
“I won in May, but this was the first chance I had to get in here,” said Hill, who works as a dispatcher and spent part of May on the road. “It’s been a long wait. I haven’t slept very well the past few nights, but I suspect I’ll sleep just fine now.”
Hill, who plays Hoosier Lottery games “every once in a while,” bought his big winner at Greenwood Sunoco at 1065 South Park Drive in Greenwood and plans to put the money toward his children’s college educations.
