CHRISTIANSBURG MAN WINS A REGAL $125,000 IN QUEEN OF HEARTS GAME

When Charles Hughett of Christiansburg bought a Queen of Hearts Scratcher ticket from the Virginia Lottery, he didn’t expect to win such a regal prize as $125,000. But that’s exactly what happened.
“It about knocked me over,” he told Lottery officials as he claimed his prize. “I had to look at it three or four times.”
He bought the winning ticket at Wilco Food Mart, 825 North Main Street in Blacksburg as he was on his way home from work.
Mr. Hughett, who is a painter, said he intends to use his winnings to pay bills.
