A 49 year-old Chicopee, Massachusetts man today claimed the $1,000 a day for life top prize that he won after matching all five numbers plus the “Lucky Ball” in the Monday, May 28th Lucky For Life drawing.
Anthony Caputo played his children’s birthdays to come up with the winning number combination (2-4-19-23-24 and Lucky Ball 11) that earned him the lottery prize that will pay out $1,000 a day, every day, for the rest of his life.
The $1,000 a day for life prize, which is paid out on a weekly basis, is guaranteed for a minimum of 20 years, but will be paid out for the duration of the winner’s lifetime. Caputo, who indicated that he is currently unemployed after being laid off from a job, said he plans to retire early and live on the winnings from the lifetime prize.
Caputo purchased his winning Lucky For Life ticket at New Corner Variety located at 1875 Memorial Drive in Chicopee. The store owner, Dinesh Patel, received a $50,000 commission - the top amount paid to retailers in Massachusetts - for selling the winning ticket.
