CHESTERFIELD COUNTY MAN WALKS AWAY WITH $150,000 CA$H IN HAND
August 6, 2012
Antoine Tucker of South Chesterfield enjoys playing a variety of Virginia Lottery games. When he saw the new scratcher game, Ca$h in Hand, he decided to try it. He purchased 4 tickets; the first one he scratched was the winning ticket.
He bought the ticket at JJ Food Mart at 4800 River Road in Petersburg. When he discovered he had won, everyone in the store hugged him. He immediately signed the back of the ticket and put it in his safe when he got home.
His plans for the money include helping his family and others in his life. “It’s just a blessing that something like this happened to me,” he told Lottery officials. He also plans to pay someone to cut the grass!
Mr. Tucker is the first player to win the top prize in Ca$h in Hand, which means nine $150,000 prizes remain unclaimed.
