BALDWIN COUNTY WOMAN SPREADS CONTAGIOUS SMILE WITH $25,000
August 1, 2012
News of a Georgia Lottery prize in Baldwin County has gone viral, and the smile of one physician’s office manager has become infectious. Terresa Smith of Milledgeville has won a $25,000 prize playing the new instant game Cash Payout.
“I just stopped and bought a ticket,” said Smith, 40. “I just picked one.”
Smith, who intends to save her winnings, claimed her prize Tuesday at the Georgia Lottery’s District Office in Macon.
Discount Mart, located at 1660 N. Columbia St. in Milledgeville, sold the winning ticket. Smith scratched the lucky ticket in her car.
“It took about 15 minutes for me to realize that it was real,” she said. “It’s still unbelievable.”
Cash Payout is a $5 instant game loaded with cash prizes of up to $225,000.
