FOR BADGER 5 JACKPOTS IT’S OSHKOSH B’GOSH
November 13, 2009
(Madison) —For the second time in two weeks an Oshkosh player has claimed the jackpot in the Wisconsin Lottery’s Badger 5 daily lotto game.
Timothy Golding is the latest Badger 5 jackpot winner from Oshkosh. Golding won $119,000 in the November 6 drawing. After taxes, Golding received a check for $80,028.
Golding matched all five winning Badger 5 numbers on the 6th—01, 02, 05, 20 and 29—on a $5 quick pick ticket he purchased at Eastside Superette, 811 Merritt Ave. For selling Golding’s winning ticket, Eastside Superette earns a $2,380 commission from the Lottery. Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000.
Golding’s win comes on the heels of an earlier Oskosh Badger 5 jackpot. Julie Holdren of Oshkosh won a $93,000 Badger 5 jackpot on October 28 with a ticket she bought at Festival Foods.
Badger 5 is a $1 daily lotto game with jackpots that start at $10,000 and grow a minimum of $1,000 a day until they are won. Players win the rolling jackpot by matching their five numbers to the five winning numbers drawn each night.
