NEWPORT NEWS MAN WINS $250,000 IN MEGA MILLIONS DRAWING
October 21, 2009
Andrew Jones of Newport News is a lucky man. His Mega Millions ticket for the October 9 drawing matched the first five numbers, missing only the Mega Ball number, to win $250,000.

Mr. Jones bought the winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 8011 Hampton Blvd. in Norfolk.

The winning numbers for that drawing were 3-14-21-24-51 and the Mega Ball number was 14. If he had matched that final number – the Mega Ball number – Mr. Jones would have won a jackpot estimated at $145 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
