NEW JERSEY SELLS ONE WINNING $250,000 TICKET AS MEGA MILLIONS ROLLS TO $170 MILLION

TRENTON, NJ – One lucky New Jersey Lottery player has won the Mega Millions second prize of $250,000 for the Friday, October 9 drawing. The winning ticket, which was sold in Middlesex County , was purchased at Corkscrew Wine & Liquor, locates at 355 Applegarth Road in Monroe Township .
“Congratulations to Corkscrew Wine & Liquor ,” said the Lottery's Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain. “ For selling this ticket, they will receive a bonus check for $500. They have become one of the Lottery's most recent ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
While there was no top-prize winner, 127,989 other New Jersey players took home $568,646 in prizes ranging from $2 to $10,000, according to Jourdain.
The winning numbers for the Friday, October 9 drawing were: 03, 14, 21, 24, and 51 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 14. With no winner of the top prize, the Mega Millions jackpot will roll to $170,000,000 for the next drawing, which will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV – the New Jersey Network.
