WILBRAHAM MOTHER WINS $2.5 MILLION GRAND PRIZE

Elmas E. Merigian of Wilbraham won the grand prize of $2.5 million in the $800 Million Spectacular game from the Massachusetts State Lottery. She received her first of 20 annuity checks of $125,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.
She bought the lucky ticket at Convenience Plus on Boston Road in Wilbraham. The store will receive a $25,000 commission on the sale.
The $800 Million Spectacular, a $10 instant game, features 80 grand prizes of $1 million and 20 grand prizes of $2.5 million. Overall, there are more than 27 million winning tickets in the game.
