LAFAYETTE WOMAN CLAIMS $694,000 LOTTO JACKPOT

Rita Thibodeaux of Lafayette was the sole winner of the $694,398 Lotto jackpot from the Sept. 30 drawing.

Thibodeaux purchased her winning ticket from Corner Stop #1 on Decon Road in Youngsville. The retailer will receive a one-time bonus of $6,943 or one percent of the jackpot prize, for selling Thibodeaux her winning ticket.

Thibodeaux, age 66, received $486,079 after state and federal taxes were withheld.

The winning numbers for the Sept. 30 Lotto drawing were 04-14-21-22-29-36.
