THREE $10,000 LOTTO PRIZES STILL UNCLAIMED

(PIERRE) - They may not be worth millions but three unclaimed $10,000 lotto prizes would still be a nice chunk of change for the lucky individuals holding the winning tickets.
The South Dakota Lottery is still waiting for the three winners to step forward, and time is running out to claim the first of the three prizes.
A Powerball ticket worth $10,000 is set to expire Oct. 19. The ticket, sold in Milbank, matched four of the five white balls and the red Powerball in the April 22, 2009 drawing.
The second $10,000 ticket expires about a month later. The Hot Lotto ticket matched all five regular balls but not the Hot Ball in the May 20, 2009 drawing. That ticket was sold in Clear Lake and expires Nov. 16.
The final big ticket, another $10,000 Powerball ticket, was sold in the July 4 drawing and expires on Dec. 31, 2009. The ticket was sold in Castlewood.
Lottery executive director Norm Lingle says the Lottery looks forward to hearing from the winners.
"Ticket holders still have time to look around their houses, vehicles and wallets to see if they have any unchecked lotto tickets for these games. We'd hate to see anyone miss out on a $10,000 prize so if you are one of the lucky ticket holders, you should sign the back of the ticket as soon as you find it and bring it in to your nearest Lottery office before the deadline," Lingle said.
Lotto prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing and can be claimed at any of the three Lottery offices which are located in Pierre, Rapid City and Sioux Falls. If the prizes go unclaimed, state law requires the money to go back to players by funding prizes in subsequent lottery games.
