OMAHA MAN WINS $33,000 PLAYING NEBRASKA PICK 5

Donald Marshall of Omaha recently won $33,000 playing Nebraska Pick 5 from the Nebraska Lottery.
There were more than 6,000 Nebraska Lottery winners in the Thursday, September 10, drawings. Among them were two winners of the $66,000 Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot. Marshall purchased one of the jackpot-winning tickets at Hy-Vee Drug Store, 8404 North 30th Street in Omaha. The five-play ticket contained one play with the winning numbers 9, 26, 28, 32, 37 from the September 10 drawing for a $33,000 share of the jackpot prize.
One hundred and eighty Nebraska Lottery players have won the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot to date.
Marshall wasted no time in claiming his prize, arriving at Nebraska Lottery headquarters the morning following the drawing. He told Nebraska Lottery officials that he learned he had won after calling the Nebraska Lottery Player’s Hotline (800-224-LUCK). He plans to pay bills using his winnings.
Nebraska Pick 5 is a unique Nebraska Lottery game: all the proceeds from Nebraska Pick 5 stay in Nebraska, and all the winning tickets are sold in Nebraska at Nebraska Lottery Lotto game retailers. The odds of winning the Nebraska Pick 5 jackpot, which starts at $50,000 and grows by $4,000 each time it is not won, are 1 in 501,942 while the overall odds of winning a prize in the game are 1 in 8.
