MARTHA’S VINEYARD PLAYER SAILS OFF WITH GRAND PRIZE

Peter B.Yap of Oak Bluffs became the latest instant millionaire when he won a grand prize playing the $1,000,000 Spin game from the Massachusetts State Lottery. Yap received his first of 20 annuity checks for $50,000 before taxes today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.

He bought the lucky ticket at Jim’s Package Store on Lake Avenue in Oak Bluffs. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale.

The $1,000,000 Spin, a $5 instant game, features more than $114 million in cash prizes, including 10 grand prizes of $1 million. Overall, there are more than 6 million winning tickets in the game.
