POLK COUNTY WOMAN CASHES IN ON THE FLORIDA LOTTERY'S BLOCKBUSTER HIT

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida Lottery today announced that BILLION DOLLAR BLOCKBUSTER Scratch-Off winner Marian Wagner, of Lake Wales, claimed her $1 million prize at Florida Lottery headquarters. This marks the 16th Lottery player to claim a $1 million prize in the Scratch-Off game; 104 $1 million prizes remain.
Wagner chose the one-time, lump-sum payment option for her winnings, in the amount of $650,000.00. She purchased her winning ticket from Cumberland Farms, located at 800 North Scenic Highway in Lake Wales. Wagner, who frequently plays Scratch-Off games, thought at first she had just won $1,000. "I kept scratching and seeing zeros. I still don't believe I won," she said. When asked if she will continue to play Florida Lottery games, she replied "I'm going to buy some tickets on my way home!"
The $20 Scratch-Off game, BILLION DOLLAR BLOCKBUSTER, offers the highest cash payout of any game in the Lottery's 21-year history. The game launched on February 24, and features more than $1 billion in prizes, including 10 instant-win prizes of $10 million. To date, the game has awarded more than $123 million in prizes. The overall odds of winning are 1-in-2.98. Tickets may be purchased at any of the more than 13,000 Florida Lottery retail locations statewide.
