HELENA MAN CLAIMS WILD CARD PRIZE

Timothy Beckman of Helena has claimed a $5,000 Wild Card prize. He bought his ticket for the August 5 drawing at Town Pump located at 1140 Euclid Avenue in Helena.
Beckman, a painter, is a regular Wild Card, Hot Lotto and Powerball player. “I’ve been playing for a long time. I usually pick a set of numbers, stick with them for a while and then get some new ones,” he stated. Seven and 14 have been his lucky numbers ever since he was a boy, and those numbers, in addition to three other ones, made up his winning ticket.
Wild Card is a multi-state game played in Montana, Idaho, North and South Dakota. The jackpot starts at $100,000 and rolls until it is hit. After Wednesday night’s drawing, the jackpot is now at $680,000.
