JACKPOTS CONTINUE TO CLIMB
August 15, 2009
Hot Lotto, a multi-state Lottery game, is at its second highest jackpot in history. The jackpot amount for Saturday’s drawing is an impressive $16.07 million. The largest Hot Lotto jackpot ever was $19.8 million, which was won on January 13, 2007.

Hot Lotto began in 2002 and is played in fourteen states including Montana. The Sizzler option costs $1 more per play and if purchased any prize excluding the jackpot will be tripled. The jackpot starts at $1 million and increases each time the jackpot is not won.

Powerball also has a large jackpot this week at $213 million. Powerball has a multiplier option called Power Play, which will multiply non-jackpot winnings between two and five times.

Montana Lottery players will need to purchase their tickets before 8:00 pm on Saturday for a chance to win these and other prizes. Wild Card currently has a $730,000 jackpot and Montana Cash is at $40,000.
