COUPLES VACATION TOGETHER – AND WIN $250,000 IN MEGA MILLIONS

Brad Skipper of Centreville and Donna Dunn of Potomac Falls are part of a group of four couples who vacation each year at Lake Gaston. As part of that yearly vacation, Brad, Donna and their spouses play Mega Millions together on the way home.
“It’s just for fun,” Ms. Dunn said. “I didn’t give it another thought.”
That is – until one of their tickets won $250,000. It matched the first five numbers in the July 7 drawing and only missed the Mega Ball number.
They bought the ticket at Holly Grove Marina on Highway 903 in Bracey. The winning numbers were 25-27-35-38-39 and the Mega Ball was 28. Their ticket was the only one in Virginia to win $250,000 in that drawing and one of just ten nationwide. They used Easy Pick, allowing the computer to randomly select the numbers on their ticket.
