MIDDLETOWN – Donna Cantwell of Lumberton, New Jersey, is the first winner to step forward to claim one of four $1 million prizes from the Pennsylvania Lottery’s July 4 Millionaire Raffle drawing.
Cantwell presented her winning ticket for validation at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, today. Cantwell and her husband say the winnings will help them pay off bills and invest for retirement.
“I play Powerball every week, but now I will start playing other PA Lottery games,” said Cantwell, who purchased her first Millionaire Raffle ticket for the July 4 drawing. “This may be the beginning of a lucky streak!”
Cantwell purchased her winning ticket at SN Food Mart, 80 E. Oregon Ave., Philadelphia.
The other three top-prize winning raffle tickets remain unclaimed. They were sold at Acme Market, 808 E. Street Rd., Warminster, Bucks County; Gerrity’s Supermarket, 320 Meadow Ave., Scranton, Lackawanna County; and Latrobe Center Distributing, Inc., 1032 Latrobe Thirty Plaza St., Latrobe, Westmoreland County.
Each store will receive a $5,000 bonus from the Pennsylvania Lottery for selling a top-prize-winning raffle ticket.
The $1 million top prizes must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters, 1200 Fulling Mill Rd., Middletown, or at any of the Lottery’s seven regional offices.
