Joe Grof of Lincoln won $22,000 in the July 10 2by2 drawing as the result of a change in his routine.
Grof told Nebraska Lottery officials that he typically buys Powerball, Nebraska Pick 5 and 2by2 tickets on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, but on Friday, July 10, he decided to stop at Roc's Stop & Shop at 5757 South 85th Street in Lincoln.
The single 2by2 quick pick he bought for that night's drawing, matched the winning numbers (Red 13, 17; White 8, 26) to win the $22,000 jackpot.
As he claimed his prize at Nebraska Lottery headquarters, Grof said he learned of his win by checking the results on nelottery.com.
His plans for the prize include home improvements and vacation.
