FREDERICK MAN WINS $50,000 TOP PRIZE ON KING OF CLUBS SCRATCH-OFF
June 23, 2009
(Baltimore) – George Leach won $50,000 by revealing the winning number, 54, on his King of Clubs scratch-off. His wife, Pauline, who was born in 1954, and is now 54 years old, thinks her lucky number brought her husband good luck. The couple, who have been married for 38 years, came to Lottery Headquarters on Thursday to claim their prize.

George, a dairy truck driver, plays scratch-offs almost every day. He was at the liquor store when he scratched the lucky ticket, and rushed home to show his wife and their five grandchildren. George plans to use the winnings to replace the roof on their house.

The winning ticket was purchased at East Side Liquor, located at 507 East St. in Frederick. There are two $50,000 top prizes remaining on the $5 King of Clubs scratch-off.
