ATLANTA – After netting a $1,000 Georgia Lottery prize a week earlier, one Augusta man has found huge luck in the number seven. Earl Fritz, 62, played the new Georgia Lottery instant game Super Lucky 7's and won a $777,777 top prize.
"I felt lucky last week when I cashed in a $1,000 winner," he said. "Now I feel a little bit luckier."
He purchased his ticket at Ms. Carolyn's, 2416 Windsor Spring Road in Augusta, and scratched it.
"In fact, I didn't have my glasses on. It looked like a blur," he said.
Fritz, a carpenter, is extremely excited. He won his $1,000 prize playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Extreme Green. He and his wife, Faye, have no immediate plans for either prize.
"Nothing," he shared. "We'll put it up."
