STURBRIDGE PLAYER WINS $1 MILLION GRAND PRIZE

Ronald Zandy of Sturbridge is the 83rd player to win $1 million in the Billion Dollar Blockbuster game from the Massachusetts State Lottery. Zandy came to Lottery headquarters in Braintree today to collect his first of 20 annuity payments for $50,000 before taxes.

He bought the lucky ticket at Heritage Xtra Mart on Charlton Road in Sturbridge. The store will receive a $10,000 commission on the sale.

The Billion Dollar Blockbuster is the largest game ever created by a U.S. lottery. The game features 130 instant prizes of $1 million and ten prizes of $10 million. One lucky player will win $1 million a year for life.
