KENO PRODUCES RECORD-BREAKING SALES WEEK
June 10, 2009
(Baltimore) – The Maryland Lottery continues to break records, this time with Keno. Last week’s Keno sales topped $9.37 million, making it the highest sales week for that game during a non-Keno promotion period. Total Keno sales were up by more than $3 million when compared with sales from the same period last year. The increase is due largely to the introduction of the new Keno Super Bonus feature, which launched for the first time on June 1st.
“During its inaugural week, the Keno Super Bonus produced $3.1 million in sales,” said Lottery Director Buddy Roogow. “We are extremely excited about this new feature that allows players to win even more.”
The Keno Super Bonus can be added to any Keno ticket for an additional $2 per play. Once added, winners can multiply their prizes by up to 20 times and are guaranteed to multiply their winnings at least twice.
