LAID-OFF ELKHART MOM WINS $50,000

INDIANAPOLIS– An Elkhart mother of three is $50,000 richer today after winning the Lucky 5 drawing on May 31. Tricia Rich claimed her prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters this afternoon.
"I'm going to pay off my house!" said Rich. "I've been making payments for 14 years and I've been trying to pay it off early but I got laid-off."
A victim of Elkhart's economic downturn, Rich worked making RV shower doors until a year ago.
"This is amazing, just amazing!" said Rich who admits to shedding some tears over her win.
Rich purchased her quick pick Lucky 5 ticket at Speedway #6085 at 1901 Cassopolis Rd in Elkhart, Ind.
Lucky 5 offers two plays, two sets of numbers, for $1. Lucky 5 drawings are conducted twice a day every day except Sunday which has no midday drawing. The top prize for matching five of five digits is $50,000.
