NUGGETS FANS WIN BIG THANKS TO COLORADO LOTTERY

DENVER – The Nuggets may be playing to keep their current storybook season alive, but one fan is already planning for next year. Westminster resident Katie Jensen has her sights set on attending a game in Miami or maybe even Los Angeles next season, after winning tickets from the Colorado Lottery. Jensen was one of three grand prize winners chosen in the Lottery’s second-chance drawing for the Denver Nuggets Scratch game.
Along with two tickets and roundtrip airfare to any Nuggets game in the continental United States next season, Jensen also won a first-class hotel stay, $1,000 in spending money and Nuggets merchandise worth nearly $550.
Jensen, who purchased her $2 Nuggets Scratch tickets at the urging of her 11-year-old son, couldn’t believe she won the prize pack.
“My son has already asked what I’m going to buy him. He’s texted five of his friends to tell them about (the prize),” said Jensen.
Though buying the tickets was her son’s idea, Jensen said she’ll likely take her husband to one of the games and let her sons (she also has six-year-old twin boys) fight over the merchandise. Jensen won by entering her non-winning tickets into an online second-chance drawing. The Lottery holds about 10 second-chance drawings annually on select Scratch games.
