RAVENA MAN COLLECTS $250,000 MEGA MILLIONS SECOND PRIZE

The New York Lottery today announced Edward J. Dall, Sr. of Ravena as one of nine second-prize winners of $250,000 each from the Mega Millions drawing held on May 1, 2009. Dall collected his cash prize today at the Lottery's Customer Service Center in Schenectady.
The winner is employed as a counselor with the Mental Health Association of Columbia and Greene Counties. The 64-year-old father of six said he plans to use his windfall to purchase a home for his wife of 46 years, Judith, who he has known since kindergarten. Judith Dall is employed as a cashier at the Wal-Mart store in Glenmont.
He purchased his winning Quick Pick ticket on April 29, 2009 at the Ravena Shop 'N Save on Route 9W in Ravena. The eight other second-prize winning tickets for the May 1st Mega Millions drawing were sold in Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Westchester, Kings and Bronx Counties.

To win the $250,000 second prize in New York Mega Millions game, a player must match the first five numbers as drawn. To win the jackpot, players match the first five numbers plus the Mega Ball. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 176 million. The odds of winning second prize are 1 in 3.9 million.
