Peggy Syverson of Tower hit the jackpot! The numbers on her quick-pick ticket matched the winning numbers of 4-11-19-21-31 drawn on May 13, 2009 to win the $27,000 Northstar Cash jackpot.
Syverson purchased the winning ticket at Vermilion Fuel & Food, 516 Main St. in Tower.
Other Northstar Cash jackpot prizes are unclaimed: $43,711 from the drawing on May 10, 2009 (sold in Olmsted County); $44,401 from the drawing on March 15, 2009 (sold in Stearns County); and $28,000 from the drawing on July 16, 2008 (sold in Stearns County). Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
