TOPEKA RESIDENT CLAIMS THIRD CASH PRIZE
April 28, 2009
TOPEKA, KAN. – James Seem has claimed his third cash prize playing Kansas Lottery instant scratch tickets. Yesterday, the Topeka resident claimed a $5,000 cash prize playing a $5 Super Red Hot Crossword instant scratch ticket.
I’ve been lucky,” said Seem. “I won $1,000 and $2,000 a couple of years ago. I like playing the scratch tickets that take awhile to play. Crosswords and Bingo tickets are my favorite.”
According to Seem, when he revealed the $5,000 cash prize he was rather surprised.
“I checked my ticket three times before I was sure I’d won,” said Seem. “My day started bad, but ended great. The Lottery ‘gods’ have been good to me.”
Seem, who works for Meals on Wheels in Topeka, plans to pay bills with his winnings.
The winning ticket was purchased at Dillons 88, located at 4015 SW 10th St. in Topeka.
