WASHINGTON, GA. PAINTER WINS A 'RED HOT' $350,000
April 27, 2009
ATLANTA – A painter from Washington, Ga., is painting the town red after a Georgia Lottery win. Kelvin Heard, 39, played the instant game Red Hot Numbers and won a $350,000 top prize. Kwick Stop, 4894 Tignall Road in Washington, sold the lucky ticket. Heard scratched his ticket at home. "I had to sit on the sofa for a minute and slow my heart down," he said. According to Heard, a married father of two, he will use his prize to help his family. He and his wife, Lavanda, also plan to buy a horse for their children.
