ROCKMART MAN WINS $27,777
April 27, 2009

ATLANTA – A Rockmart man is celebrating a Georgia Lottery win. Stephen Johnson, 58, played the instant game Double Lucky 7's and won a $27,777 top prize.

"I kind of had to take a second look," said Johnson, who works as a factory engineer. "I was a little bit surprised to say the least."

Silver Creek Mini Mart, 5729 Rockmart Highway in Silver Creek, sold the lucky ticket.

According to Johnson, a father of two, he may purchase a new truck. He will also use some of his winnings to vacation and travel to Indiana for his upcoming 40th high school class reunion.

"I'm looking forward to that. This helps," he said.
