(Madison) — No can openers, paper weights or chia pets for Ruth Printz’s birthday this year.
Printz, of Rosholt in Portage County, bought two $1 quick pick tickets in the Wisconsin Lottery’s April 15th Badger 5 lotto drawing. She gave one to her husband and kept the other.
Her ticket won $137,000. On her birthday.
She really knows how to shop.
Printz bought the tickets at Copps Food Center, 5657 Hwy. 10 East in Stevens Point. Her ticket matched the April 15 winning Badger 5 numbers of 11, 12, 26, 27 and 28 to win the $137,000 jackpot. After taxes she receives $93,503.
For selling Printz’s ticket, Copps earns $2,740 from the Lottery. Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000.
