JUST PASSING THROUGH VIRGINIA, HE WINS $250,000

Albert Simmons of Carrollton, Georgia, was staying with relatives in Virginia when he decided to play Mega Millions. He bought some tickets for the April 17 drawing. Later, when he checked the winning numbers for that day, he thought he might have won a few dollars. Actually, he won more than just a few dollars – he won $250,000.
“I don’t believe it!” he exclaimed when Lottery officials told him how much his ticket was worth.
He bought the ticket at Jahnke Road Autocare Center, located at 6101 Jahnke Road in Richmond.
His ticket matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number to win $250,000. The winning numbers were 5-13-26-35-45 and the Mega Ball was 32.
When asked what he plans to do with his winnings, Mr. Simmons said he is going to give to his church. “I’m not going to run amok,” he said.
