GOODBYE TAX DAY, HELLO HOLLYWOOD!

For most people, April 15 brings to mind taxes and deadlines. For seven lucky Tennesseans and their guests, however, today kicks off a “Hollywood Experience!” The Tennessee Lottery is sending the group to Hollywood today for an all-expense paid whirlwind trip won by entering non-winning “Deal or No Deal” lottery tickets into a series of second-chance drawings.
“We’re ready to rock-and-roll!” said Joanne Knox of Kingston. “I can’t wait to take on The Banker,” she said, referring to a member of the “Deal or No Deal” cast. Joanne, a nurse, is taking her daughter along for the trip, which includes: Roundtrip airfare to Hollywood for the seven winners and one guest each, five days/four nights luxury hotel accommodations, $5,000, and a chance to play a non-broadcast version of the daily “Deal or No Deal” show. One trip winner will also be randomly selected to participate in the Deal or No Deal non-broadcast game with Howie Mandel for a chance to win up to $2.5 million.
For Keith and Roseanne Schipp of Maryville, the “Hollywood Experience” will be a second honeymoon. “We can’t believe it! The last time we were there was when we eloped 32 years ago!”
Other winners include: Juanita Edwards of Cottontown; Ilona Estes of Portland; Charlotte Warrick of Bon Aqua; Randall Crawford of Nashville; and Loretta Massengill of Clinton.
