(Pierre) – For the third time this year, a $200,000 Powerball prize has been won in South Dakota. A lucky ticket sold in Rapid City matched the five white ball numbers, but not the red Powerball number, to win the game’s second prize in Saturday night’s drawing.
The winning Powerball numbers for the Saturday, April 11, 2009 drawing were: 07, 28, 35, 46, 49 and the Powerball was 20. The Power Play prize multiplier was 4.
The winner has 180 days to claim the prize.
Two other South Dakota players have already won Powerball’s $200,000 prize this year. Toni Smith of Custer won her prize on January 17 and James Janisch of Eden won his on February 11. There were only two South Dakota second prize winners in 2008.
The odds of winning the game’s $200,000 second prize are 1:5,138,133.
Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing the jackpot will grow to an estimated $25 million for the Wednesday, April 15 drawing.
