RETIRED KOREAN WAR VETERAN CLAIMS $523,157 LOTTO EXTRA SECOND PRIZE

SCHENECTADY, NY- Just hours after announcing Long Island New York's Lotto players to check their tickets for a possible Lotto Extra second-prize worth $523,157, the New York Lottery reports a winner has claimed the prize.
Seventy-six-year-old Salvatore Delquaglios, a retired Korean War Veteran from West Babylon, claimed his signed ticket at the Lottery's Customer Service Center in Long Island this afternoon.
Delquaglios's $8 ticket for the $32,000,000 Lotto drawing held April 15, 2009 contained the lucky series that included the first five numbers drawn and the bonus number from the April 15th drawing. The random combination turned out to be worth $523,157.
The winning numbers drawn for the April 15, 2009 Lotto Extra drawing were:
12 - 25 - 29 - 30 - 37 - 53; Bonus #5; Extra Ball #42
Delquaglio said the Lottery retailer told him to check his ticket.
