ABINGTON MOM TAKES HOME $100,000 ON NEW RED SOX TICKET

Denise M. Shields Lucente won a $100,000 prize on the new Boston Red Sox 2009 instant ticket during its first week on the market. Shields Lucente, pictured here with her twin boys, received her prize today at Lottery headquarters in Braintree.

She bought the lucky ticket at Yours Convenient Store on Brockton Avenue in Abington. The store will receive a $1,000 commission on the sale.

The game, which went on sale April 6 at 7,500 Lottery agents, features $114 million in prizes, including 10 instant prizes of $1 million. Overall, there are more than 6,700,000 winning tickets in the game. One player will also win the fabulous prize of Boston Red Sox Season Tickets for Life.
