NO JOKE: CAPE CHARLES WOMAN WINS $52,000 ON APRIL FOOL’S DAY

Lenora Mitchell of Cape Charles had a great April Fool’s Day. She played the Virginia Lottery’s Win For Life game and won the second-highest prize of $52,000. She bought the winning ticket at Mitchell’s Shoppe, located at 400 Jefferson Avenue in Cape Charles.
Her ticket matched five of the first six numbers plus the Free Ball number in the April 1, 2009, Win For Life drawing. The winning numbers for that drawing were 8-9-11-15-21-32 and the Free Ball number was 4.
Win For Life offers a top prize of $1,000 per week for the life of the winner. Drawings are held Wednesday and Saturday nights at 11:00.
