Chuck Mickes of Camas, Washington had a busy week. On Tuesday, March 17, Mickes was listening to the Oregon Lottery®’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle drawing when he discovered he had the winning ticket for the Raffle $1 million top prize. On Wednesday, March 18, he celebrated his birthday with his family. On Friday, March 20, Chuck, accompanied by his wife Caroline and their four children, received his $1 million prize at a special presentation at the Lottery office in Salem.

Chuck received a prize check in the amount of $670.003.50, after state and federal taxes were withheld. The winning ticket was purchased at Devaki’s Deli, in Portland. The winning ticket number was “243114.” Winning ticket numbers for the $1 million top prize, the 10 prizes of $20,000, and the 1,000 prizes of $100 were revealed at a public media event held at the Oregon Lottery on March 17.

In addition to presenting the $1 million Raffle top prize to Chuck and Caroline, the Lottery office in Salem has been visited by all ten of the $20,000 winners. Winning tickets for the 10 prizes were sold by retailers in Beaverton, Boring, Eugene, Hillsboro, Klamath Falls, Sherwood, Springfield and three in Portland. As of end of day on April 02, there had been 882 of the one-thousand $100 Raffle prizes claimed.
