George Winkel of Brooklyn Park claimed a $32,768 Northstar Cash prize at Lottery headquarters on March 27.

The fourth set of numbers on Winkel’s five-line quick-pick ticket matched the winning numbers on March 25, 2009 to share the $65,536 jackpot with another ticketholder. Each ticket was worth $32,768. The winning numbers were 8-18-27-28-29.

Winkel purchased the winning ticket at G-Will Liquors, 6232 Boone Ave. N. in Brooklyn Park.

David Whitman of St. Paul claimed the second $32,768 prize from the March 25 drawing. Northstar Cash jackpots worth $44,401 from the drawing on March 15, 2009 (sold in Stearns County); $40,360 from the drawing on Jan. 28, 2009 (sold in Hennepin County); and $28,000 from the drawing on July 16, 2008 (sold in Stearns County) have not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
