UNIVERSITY STUDENT LEARNS OF $50,000 “WINFALL”
April 1, 2009
(Baltimore) – A University of Maryland Eastern Shore student spent the past weekend celebrating after winning Cash Winfall’s $50,000 top prize late Friday night. The 25-year-old man was visiting friends in Salisbury when he decided to purchase several scratch off tickets. “I hadn’t played in two years but I decided to buy four tickets,” stated the Delaware native. “Scratching my last ticket I immediately realized I was a winner,” he said. “For the next couple hours all I could do was read over the ticket.”

After spending much of the night carefully checking the ticket’s rules and regulations, the man took it to be scanned. When the machine’s screen instructed the man to claim his winnings at the Lottery’s main offices he knew the dream was real.

“I couldn’t believe it, I went out the entire weekend to celebrate,” said the man with an enormous smile on his face. He intends to use his prize money to pay off school bills, possibly buy a car and begin saving.

The winning ticket was purchased at Royal Farms #127, located at 27992 Ocean Gateway in Salisbury.
