GREENFIELD MAN SCRATCHES HIS WAY TO $100,000

INDIANAPOLIS – Royce McPherson of Greenfield is the latest lucky Hoosier Lottery player to win big money on a Scratch-off ticket. McPherson claimed a $100,000 prize at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today. He won on the Cash Extravaganza Scratch-off game.
After years of playing but not winning much beyond the occasional $20 or $50, McPherson was shocked to reveal a $100,000 prize. McPherson was sitting in his truck in the parking lot of the place he purchased his ticket, Low Bob's #43 at 1226 West Main Street in Greenfield, when he realized he had a better than average winner.
"I went back in the store and I said to the girl, "I need a hug and I want to thank you!' " said McPherson. "Everybody was so excited. I'm going back in there and give her $500."
McPherson's friend, James Herrell, came with him to Hoosier Lottery Headquarters today to claim his winnings.
"I'm so proud of him!" said Herrell. "This is once in a lifetime type thing."
McPherson plans to put a new roof on his house and buy a new truck with his winnings.
"Hoosier Lottery is cool!" said Herrell.
