Rhode Island Lottery Daily Numbers® players continue to win big. Yesterday alone, there were two players claiming prizes of $20,416 and $10,000.
A Providence man decided to buy three separate tickets all using the same number combination, 3 9 8 8, to win $20,416. Two of his tickets were two dollar wagers on 4-digit straight bets winning him $10,000 each. The third ticket was a 4-digit box bet, which came to $416. He bought the three winning tickets from Central Liquor, 930 Broad St., Providence.
A man from Bristol, RI, came in to pick up his $10,000 prize after playing a two dollar 4-digit straight bet on Friday. He picked his lucky numbers - 3 7 9 0, based on his son’s birthday. He said he wants to buy a new television with the winnings, but his children have already started telling him how they would like him to spend it.
Furthermore, there was a $10,000 winning PowerBall® ticket sold in Rhode Island for last night’s $32.5 million jackpot drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. However, if this player had opted to purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by 5, last night’s Power Play® number, to equal $50,000.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cumberland Farms, 193 Division St., Pawtucket, and has not been claimed yet.
Saturday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $44 million.
