MIDDLETOWN – One ticket matched all six winning numbers, 01-19-34-37-40-46, in the March 10 Match 6 Lotto drawing – the final drawing of the game. Tuesday night’s winning jackpot is worth $900,000 cash, less 25 percent federal withholding.
This is the 50th Match 6 Lotto jackpot won since the game’s inception. The jackpot has been growing since one ticket matched all six winning numbers in the Feb. 6 drawing, a $1,707,084 cash prize, less 25 percent federal withholding.
Pennsylvania Lottery officials cannot announce the identity of Tuesday’s Match 6 jackpot winner until a prize has been claimed and a ticket validated.
Match 6 Lotto jackpots must be claimed by presenting a winning ticket at Pennsylvania Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the Lottery’s seven regional offices located throughout the commonwealth. Claims may be filed at headquarters Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at regional Lottery offices.
On Wednesday, March 11, tickets will go on sale for Super 7, a new $2 terminal-based game offering an annuity jackpot that begins at $1 million and continues to grow until it is won. Beginning Friday, March 13, Super 7 will replace Match 6 Lotto in the Pennsylvania Lottery’s Tuesday and Friday evening drawing shows at 7 p.m., along with The Daily Number, BIG 4, Quinto, and CASH 5.
Match 6 Lotto debuted Jan. 28, 2004. The largest Match 6 Lotto jackpot, $5,858,436 cash, less 25 percent federal withholding, was won by a York County man who matched all six winning numbers in the May 3, 2005, drawing. During its five-year run, Match 6 logged more than 55.8 million winning experiences worth $281.6 million.
