ATLANTA – A Dacula man is celebrating a lottery win. William Norton Sr., a great-grandfather of seven, won a $477,219 top prize from matching all five winning numbers in the Feb. 26 Fantasy 5 drawing.
He purchased his Quik Pik ticket from QuikTrip #0784, 2460 Hamilton Mill Road in Dacula. The winning numbers from the Feb. 26 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 5-10-22-26-35.
Norton watched the televised drawing and was overcome with joy.
"I almost passed out," he said. "I feel fortunate."
A father of five adult children with wife, Betty, Norton has 16 grandchildren and is a 1986 retiree from Southern Bell.
Norton, 76, anticipates sharing his prize with his immediate family.
"I'm jumping around inside," he exclaimed.
Georgia Lottery retailers selling winning top prize Fantasy 5 tickets receive a retailer incentive bonus of $2,000. The retailer incentive bonus increases by $2,000 each time Fantasy 5 rolls. If more than one winning top prize ticket is sold, the retailers selling the top prize winning tickets will share the bonus. QuikTrip will receive a $10,000 retailer incentive bonus.
