RAPIDS MAN CLAIMS $12,000 BADGER 5 JACKPOT

(Madison) —Norman Helke of Wisconsin Rapids is one of the Wisconsin Lottery’s newest Badger 5 jackpot winners.

Helke bought the one jackpot ticket in the Lottery’s Friday, February 20 Badger 5 lotto drawing to claim the night’s $12,000 jackpot.

The $12,000 winner was sold at West Grand IGA, 1021 West Grand Ave. The winning Badger 5 numbers on the 20th were 01, 04, 08, 21 and 23.

For selling that ticket West Grand IGA earns $240 from the Lottery. Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets with prizes of $600 or more earn the equivalent of 2% of the prize, up to a maximum commission of $100,000.

Badger 5 is a $1 daily lotto game with jackpots that start at $10,000 and grow a minimum of $1,000 a day until they are won. Players win the rolling jackpot by matching their five numbers to the five winning numbers drawn each night.
