$95,447.50 WILD MONEY JACKPOT CLAIMED

The winner of the $95,447.50 Wild Money jackpot from Thursday night has picked up her prize.
A very calm Warwick woman came in at the end of the day on Friday to pick up her winnings, repeating her thoughts to Lottery staff that, “It’s only money.” She doesn’t plan on telling her five children or 11 grandchildren about the windfall, but will certainly give them all a little something. She seemed very practical about her winnings and said she plans to pay off her credit cards and put the money in certificates of deposit. The winning ticket was purchased at Public America, 1754 Mendon Rd., Cumberland.
The Wild Money drawings take place three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, live on WPRI-TV at 7:29pm.
There was also a $10,000 winning ticket sold in Rhode Island for Saturday night’s $66.6 million jackpot PowerBall® drawing. The ticket matched four numbers and the PowerBall® number. The standard payout for this type of win is $10,000. The winner did not purchase the Power Play® feature for an additional dollar on the wager. If the player had opted for Power Play®, the $10,000 prize would have been multiplied by two, Saturday night’s Power Play® number, to equal $20,000.
Alcheldo’s Pizza Corner at 1715 Stafford Rd., Tiverton, sold the winning ticket. The $10,000 prize has yet to be claimed.
Wednesday’s estimated PowerBall® jackpot is $78 million.
