TWO MORE $10,000 MILLION DOLLAR RAFFLE TICKETS CLAIMED

After a month of waiting, some of the remaining $10,000 winning Million Dollar Raffle Game tickets are being claimed.
An excited Warwick woman came in to the Lottery Validations office with her son to pick up her $10,000 prize after almost getting rid of it for good. She said she knew she didn’t win the million dollar top prize, so she put her ticket in the bag for recycling. A few days later, she stopped at a gas station on her way to work and saw a list on the counter with the rest of the winning numbers. She recognized her number and started yelling in the gas station that she won $10,000, telling Lottery employees she was surprised she didn’t give the clerk a heart attack. She left the station without getting her gas and raced to work to start calling her children to wake them up so they could take the ticket out of the recycling bag and confirm the number. On her way out of the Lottery, she turned to her son and said, “We’re going out for dinner tonight!”
She bought her winning ticket from Lakewood Liquors, 774 Warwick Ave., Warwick.
Another $10,000 Million Dollar Raffle ticket was claimed by a man from North Kingstown, RI. He said he got the Million Dollar Raffle ticket as a Christmas present. The winning ticket was sold from Town Line Liquor, at 5782 Post Rd., East Greenwich. When the lucky winner came in to claim his $10,000 Million Dollar Raffle ticket, he also brought in some winning Keno tickets, totaling $4,114 in prizes.
Two of the ten $10,000 winning Million Dollar Raffle tickets still remain unclaimed.
The winning continued with a $10,000 PowerBall® winner from Saturday’s $66.6 million drawing. The man from White Horse Beach, Mass., said he plans to spend his winnings on a big screen TV. He bought the winning ticket from Alcheldo’s Pizza Corner on Stafford Road in Tiverton. He didn’t play PowerPlay® for the extra dollar on his wager, but if he had, his prize would have been multiplied by two, Saturday’s PowerPlay® number, to equal $20,000.
